Midland Collie Championship Show was held at Stoneleigh on 8th February. Maverick was unplaced in Yearling dog, Miami was 5th in Limit dog, Gypsy was 3rd in Open bitch and Odin was Best Veteran dog and Reserve Best Veteran in Show under judge Elena Balaszovits.


18th January and off down to Stafford for the Manchester CH Show. Maverick won a big Limit Dog class and Miami was unplaced in the open dog class. Judge was Gary Clarke (Claygar).


British COTY was held on Saturday 11th January. Maverick was unplaced in the Junior competition and Odin Was placed 3rd in Veteran of the Year. Judges were Christina Chapman (Bukris), Dermot Timmins (Kynan) and Fran Kaye (Danfrebek).

Off to an open show on 27th September and the Stafford & DCS show. Aoife attending her first show and gained 1st in the puppy class and Best Puppy but she stood alone. Maverick won the open class and Best of Breed under judge Melanie Jane Lewis (Shemella). Odin then got a 3rd place in AV Veteran Pastoral under judge Iain Lewis (Shemella).


Darlington championship show was 13th September and the judge was Toni Jackson (Elbereth). Miami was 3rd in Limit dog, Maverick 5th in Open dog and Gypsy was unplaced in Open bitch.


A trip down to Richmond on 6th September under judge Marianne Benton-Thorpe (Oakestelle). Maverick was awarded 2nd in Limit dog, Miami 3rd in Open dog and Gypsy 3rd in Open bitch.

 

City of Birmingham championship show was held on 28th August at Stoneleigh. Brian Hawkins (Beldones) was the judge and he awarded Maverick 5th in Limit dog, Miami 4th in Open dog and Odin 1st Veteran dog and Best Veteran in Breed.

Driffield - two championship shows on 1 day as one was held over from 2024. At the 2024 show judge Cath Proctor (Cathbri) placed Odin 2nd in Veteran dog, Maverick 3rd in Limit dog and Miami unplaced in Open dog. At the 2025 show judge Denise Rowan (Rowancrest) placed Odin 2nd in Veteran dog, Maverick 1st in Limit dog and Miami umplaced in Open dog.

Mansfield show was held on 10th August with judge Gary Haine (Padawan) placing Maverick 2nd in Open and judge Pete Simmons placing Odin 2nd in AV Veteran.

Walsall open show took place on 9th August. Maverick was awarded 1st in Open and Best of Breed by judge Louise Bermingham (Bamcwt) and Odin unplaced in AV Veteran by judge Toni Westcott-Smith (Rozumba) 

EACA Championship show was on 3rd August in Littleport. Unfortunately, we couldn't take any girls as they are out of coat following maternal duties. The judge for dogs was Tomas Rohlin (Rollington). Miami was placed 4th in Limit dog, Maverick 2nd in Open dog but the star yet again was Odin being awarded Best Veteran Dog and the Reserve Dog CC.

Selby CS was held on 25th October. A very long day as we were  last in the ring at 4pm. Maverick won the Open class and Best of Breed, Morse won the Junior class, Heidi was 1st and Aofie was 3rd in the puppy class. Odin was unplaced in the Veteran class. Heidi was then awarded Pastoral Puppy Group 4 under judge Sue Butterfield (Chequerpei).

Leeds Championship show was held on 25th July at Harewood House. Odin won best veteran dog, Miami was placed 5th in open dog and Maverick was unplaced in limit dog. Judge was Marion Sargent (Tegwani).


Pollard Canine Society open show was held on 19th July with rain most of the day. Miami and Maverick both won their respective classes under breed specialist judge Hazel Allsopp (Sandmel) and Maverick was awarded Best of Breed. Odin was unplaced in the veteran class under judge Jenny Shorer-Wheeler.


Collie Association held their double open shows on 6th July at Baginton. We entered show 2 under judge Josie Large (Wizaland). Odin won Best Veteran Dog, Miami won the Limit Dog class and Maverick was placed second in the Open Dog class and also Reserve Best dog.


Boston Championship show on 3rd July was our first for nearly 2 months. Judge Keith Baldwin (Nightstorm) awarded Maverick 2nd in Yearling dog, Odin 3rd in Veteran dog and Miami was unplaced in Limit dog.

2025

Chesterfield CS open show was held on 3rd May with judge Jackie Dix. She placed Maverick 1st in the Open class. Odin was then placed 4th in the AV Veteran Pastoral class under judge Bill Browne-Cole.

The National Championship show was held at Stafford on 10th May. Judge Howard Ogden (Beauview) liked our boys. Maverick won the Yearling Dog class, Miami won the big Limit Dog class and Odin won the Veteran Dog class and Best Veteran in Breed.

Midland Collie Club held their open show on 27th July. Judge was Fay Hutchings (Colliedach). Aoife ventured in to the baby puppy class being just 4 months on the day. She enjoyed her day and was placed second. Odin was awarded Best Veteran dog and Best Veteran in Show. Maverick won the Limit dog class and Reserve Best dog, whilst Miami was placed 3rd in Open dog.

EACA COTY was the first show of the year on 5th January. Odin was unplaced in the veteran competition but Maverick won Puppy of the Year and Runner-up overall under judges Lisa Pettitt (Lakebank) and Sue Bird (Joyberna)

Good Friday 18th April and it was the Edwinstowe show at Newark. Miami was placed VHC in Post Graduate and Maverick was 2nd in Open under judge Simon Luxmoore (Hushwing/Zima). Odin was then placed 3rd in Veteran Pastoral under judge Marianne Benton (Oakestelle).


​East Anglian Collie Association held a double open show on 13th April. Show 1 was judged by Lorraine Quince (Karafaye) and she placed Odin 3rd in Veteran dog, Maverick 1st in Yearling dog, Miami 2nd in Open dog and Esme 3rd in Yearling bitch. Show 2 was judged by Doug Bedford (Chateaunewf) who placed Odin 2nd in Veteran dog, Maverick 1st in Yearling dog, Miami 3rd in Open dog and Esme 3rd in Yearling bitch.


9th March and off to Crufts. Just took Maverick this year. He was unplaced in Yearling dog by judge Phil Amos (Elsamos).


British Collie Club championship show was held at Stoneleigh on 1st March. Judge Vanessa Cronk (Chelborn) placed Odin 2nd in Veteran Dog and Maverick 2nd in Yearling dog.


Off to Newark on 23rd February for the Newark & District CS open show. The judge was Jacky Cutler. Maverick won the Open class and Best of Breed and then went on to be placed 4th in the Pastoral Group. Odin was placed 2nd in the Veteran Pastoral class.

NWPBS open show was held on 15th February down at Ryton-on-Dunsmore. The judge was Jean Kenny (Leesaund) and she placed Maverick 1st in the open class and then Best of Breed.

Over to Newark on 18th October for the Grantham & District CS open show. The first show for Morse and Heidi. All three pups were up against each other and Aofie came out on top winning Best Puppy under judge Simon Luxmoore (Hushwing/Zima) and then was awarded Pastoral Puppy Group 2 by judge Jenny Miller (Feorlig). Maverick won the Open class and Best of Breed and then was awarded Pastoral Group 2.

WELKS Championship show was held at Malvern on 27th April. The judge was Cathy Howard (Shandlmain) and she awarded Odin Best Veteran in Breed, Maverick 1st in Yearling dog and Miami 4th in Limit dog.

London and Provincial Collie Club held two open shows on 23rd August. It was a chance to take the pups out as they had baby puppy classes which they just qualified for at 4 months.

The first show was judged by Stefani Flower (Serenlas) who placed Morse 1st Baby puppy, Aoife 2nd and Heidi 3rd. Gypsy was 1st in the Champion class and Maverick 3rd in Open dog.

The second show was judged by Joanne Denton who placed Aoife 2nd in Baby puppy, Morse 3rd and Heidi 5th. Gypsy won the Champion class and Maverick won Open Dog and Best of Breed. Judge Pauline Luxmoore-Ball (Hushwing/Zima) then awarded Maverick Best in Show.

A fabulous day for us at Midland Counties championship show on 23rd October. Judge Frank Kane (Hirontower) awarded Maverick 1st Limit dog and his 3rd Challenge Certificate along with Best of Breed. This gives him his Champion title. Morse won the Minor Puppy dog class and Best Puppy dog. Aoife was 4th in Minor Puppy bitch and Heidi ad Gypsy were unplaced.
